#GivingTuesdayCLE with Community of Hope
Community of Hope has led the Open Table Initiative in Cleveland for youth aging out of foster care. This year we launched a Cleveland-based, trauma-informed program called the Hope Program. We recruit adult mentors to come together as a team (5-6 volunteers) for 1 youth who grew up in foster care. They meet weekly for the first year, but then continue as supports for youth long-term. We create long-lasting relationships, nurture hope and restore dignity for youth with a history of trauma and abuse. We believe that breaking cycles for the next generation requires building communities of support for this one.
Funding will help us launch new Communities for youth who have aged out of foster care in Cleveland.
