Help End Homelessness on #GivingTuesdayCle
The Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless envisions a society without homelessness. We know reaching this goal begins with pushing society, particularly service providers and the government, to treat people experiencing homelessness with dignity and respect. The homeless need better shelter standards, more county support, more accessible housing, and –most importantly– more chances to have their input heeded.
NEOCH is responsive to the needs of unhoused people in Northeast Ohio by affirming their dignity. Our main initiatives include:
• The Homeless Congress, a monthly meeting for people experiencing homelessness
• We coordinate the Cuyahoga Affordable Housing Alliance (CAHA), a monthly meeting with housing leaders to promote affordable housing policies
• We publish the Street Chronicle, a newspaper written and distributed by individuals experiencing homelessness
• The Outreach Collaborative, which coordinates homeless outreach workers to help the homeless access resources. 6,000 people are served by these programs annually.
NEOCH believes in fiercely loving the most vulnerable in our community. By making a donation to NEOCH on #GivingTuesdayCle, you can help us continue empowering, educating, and advocating for those experiencing homelessness and those at risk. We invite you to partner with us as we work toward our vision of ending homelessness in our community.
